Howdy, pardnor. Step on over here into the Old West, ‘cause I got a tall tale to tell ya ‘bout some rowdy kids.

The year was 1882. Oklahoma hadn’t joined the United States yet; it was still a territory. Which meant it was still pretty wild. Cattle rustlers, cowboys, Indians, and oil strikes were the norm. The American Indians were being forced off their land and into reservations by the United States government; oil drillers were coming up from Texas looking for new supplies, and a special group of young people were coming together.
